Gotham City ist zur Jahrhundertwende eine blühende Stadt. Die Industrie ist im Aufschwung, der Multimilliardär Bruce Wayne (Stimme: Bruce Greenwood) will das mit einer Weltausstellung zeigen. Doch nicht alle Seiten von Gotham erstrahlen so hell. In den dunklen Gassen der Stadt treibt ein Killer sein Unwesen: Er meuchelt Frauen und geht dabei mit hoher Brutalität und hoher Präzision vor.
