Arthur wuchs in der Londoner Gosse unter Prostituierten auf, die sich um ihn kümmerten. Der Sohn schließt sich der Rebellion gegen Vortigern an, für die auch die geheimnisvolle Magierin Mage kämpft. Es geht um die Befreiung der Bevölkerung von ihrem Unterdrücker, aber Arthur hat außerdem ein ganz persönliches Motiv, um Vortigern vom Thron zu stoßen….
